In recent years, it has become more and more important for young people to learn more about international law, which is why UNYANET has decided to organize a Study Trip to The Hague in August 2017 that revolved around such topics. Description

In January 2017, the Greek and Turkish Cypriot leaders of Cyprus entered into a week of intensive talks to reach a peace agreement and to end 43 years of division on the island. Will Cyprus soon be reunited, as the UN, the European Union and the two leaders of the Mediterranean island hope? Geneva Study Trip

UNYANET group in front of the United Nations 

UNYANET members from all over Europe have met in Geneva for a study trip, organized by UNYANET and DMUN. Participants set to discover Geneva, an international human rights hub in the 4 day Study Trip titled The Human Rights Hub in the 21st Century – Strengths and Challenges of the International Human Rights System. During the trip they visited Le Palais des Nations which hosts UN headquarters in Geneva, EU representation to the UN in Geneva, United Nations High Commissioner for Refugees (UNHCR) and NGO Les Medicins Sans Frontier. Participants also had an opportunity to talk with the United Nations Information Service (UNIS) Geneva Director Corinne Momal-Vanian, observed the Human Rights Council and visited Red Cross museum. But it wasn’t just formal visits! Many networking activities like social evening program, cheese fondue and a sightseeing tour around the old pa rt of Geneva gave participants from Germany, Austria, Spain and Slovenia a wonderful opportunity to bond and create new international connections. UNYA Germany – Study trip to Bonn

UN Campus LogoThe Working Group “Education” (AG Bildung) of UNYA Germany warmly invites you to participate in our study tour to Bonn! From 3rd to 6th May, you will enjoy a weekend on the subject of: Food Security: Distribution, Speculation and Conflicts

During the weekend you will have discussions and guest speakers on the subject of food security. Furthermore you will get to know Bonn, its history and the German UN-headquarters! And you will also be able to get to know other students interested in the UN-system and international politics.

The study trip will take place in Bonn, starting on Thursday 3rd May at 6 pm and finishing on 6th May at 3 pm. Applications will be accepted until 11th March following this link.
